The Story Behind Amale's

In 2015, I embarked on a mission to create a guilt-free dessert that wouldn’t cause a spike in my children’s insulin levels with the first bite, while also being safe for my mom, who struggled with diabetes. Determined to find a solution, I began experimenting with recipes, aiming for cookies that were not only low in calories but also uniquely delightful — crispy on the outside, yet irresistibly chewy on the inside. These were not your typical cookies.
The idea to make vegan orange cookies struck me, inspired by my personal love for the refreshing taste of oranges and my preference for recipes without traditional ingredients like milk, eggs, or butter. The aroma of freshly baked orange cookies filled our home, a delightful surprise for my son when he returned from work. After tasting them, he enthusiastically declared, “That’s it! This is the business we’re going to start!”
Although it took him three years to convince me, we eventually took the plunge. And so, “Amale’s” was born. The journey began from our home, and the rest, as they say, is history. 😊
